THE LUCITE LINCOLNS ARE HERE! It just makes sense right? This bass was always destined to be powerful and now it’s just out of control…
We have collaborated with another local Chicago-based small business, Petersen Brothers Plastics to create these truly unique basses. Petersen Bros. has done a ridiculous job here… these things look like GLASS. We have paired them up with Roasted Maple necks with Indian Rosewood fingerboards. We stuck with our tried-and-true dual Serek Single setup that features a 4-way rotary switch to select between either pickup solo, or both in either parallel or series.
The tone on these is really unique. They still have a ton of punch and growl, but the mids are scooped ever so slightly and the lows are more compressed which gives these basses really nice focus and sustain.
We have several of these on the way, but we will be releasing them in pairs every Friday for the next few weeks with unique pickguard colors/patterns. Keep in mind, only 1 of the 2 basses is pictured above. You can expect minor grain differences in the neck and fingerboard, but they are otherwise identical.
“The Lincoln began as a collaboration between Serek Basses and Chicago Music Exchange’s Bassment. Inspired by some of our favorite old-school designs, the Lincoln will feel right at home in your arsenal. A bolt-on maple neck is paired up with a single pickup in the P position for supreme obliteration. The Lincoln has a slim, lightweight, contoured body that belies its immense, cosmic tone.”
