The Metropolis is one of the very first basses I designed and it is now back in full force featuring Alembic Activator pickups and an Alembic filter preamp. I am a huge fan of this sound and wanted to pay homage to one of my favorite bass brands and bass players.
This bass features a Mahogany body with a Zebrawood top. The neck is Roasted Maple with an Ebony fingerboard inlaid with Zebrawood and Brass. This bass has gold Hipshot Hardware, a Brass nut, and a magnetic Zebrawood control cavity cover.
The Activators are controlled by a Master Volume, Pan, and Filter knobs with a 2-position gain switch (0db/+8db). Please watch the video demo to learn more and to hear what this bass is capable of!
