The Metropolis is one of the very first basses I designed and it is now back in full force featuring Alembic Activator pickups and an Alembic filter preamp. I am a huge fan of this sound and wanted to pay homage to one of my favorite bass brands and bass players.
This bass features an Alder body with a Roasted Ash top. The neck is Roasted Maple with an Ebony fingerboard inlaid with Roasted Ash and Brass. This bass has gold Hipshot Hardware, a Brass nut, and a magnetic control cavity cover.
The Activators are controlled by a Master Volume, Pan, and Filter knobs with a 3-position gain switch (0db/+6db/+9db). Please watch the video demo to learn more and to hear what this bass is capable of!
